*** Breaking news…..Ricky win v Huntswood to reach national final ***

Ricky’s Men have reached the national final of the Clapham Common Shield for the 3rd time in six seasons today with a narrow 4 point victory (156 v 152) over Huntswood in the regional final.

Well done to Captain Danny Simmonds & Denis Curran, David Watson & Rob Camilleri who played at Rickmansworth, and vice captain Graham Farmer & Ben Plumridge, and John Shamoon & Graham Simon who played so well over at Huntswood. The final is being held on Sunday 4th October at The Marriott Breadsall Priory in Derbyshire, as part of the NAPGC’s team finals weekend.

H.F.L. victory for Ricky Men’s team…

Ricky won their last home game of the season today (Sat 12th Sept) against a strong Panshanger side who are riding high in the league table. The result was a convincing victory by 217 to 188 pts. Well done to: Graham Farmer & Dave Miles, Danny Simmonds & Rob Camilleri, Dave Watson & Peter Maestas, Denis Curran & Bernie White and John Shamoon & Graham Davies. The Captain’s habit of winning the sweep was dashed by just 1 point as a stellar 47 points was posted by Dave and Peter!

Special mention to the green staff, as many of the players from both sides praised the course condition, in particular the greens after heavy over night rain.

Senior’s match result

Rickmansworth Seniors visited Shendish Manor on Tuesday 8th September carrying a slim hope of retaining the Four Clubs Trophy into the final match of that competition. Ricky needed a 6-0 win to retain the Cup. That hope was extinguished with the result of the first match and after three results it seemed that the outcome might be the opposite of what we needed i.e. 6-0 to Shendish, but Ricky rallied and ended up replicating the result achieved when Shendish visited us in May – a 4-2 win for Shendish. 2015 Senior’s results

Seniors victory over league leaders…

A rainy Tuesday 1st September saw the Seniors take on league leaders Bushey Country Club in the penultimate match in the Four Clubs League.  Ricky needed a win to keep alive a slim hope of retaining the cup, and things didn’t start too well with the Captain taking a 6 and 4 beating. But, as with the weather, things perked up later with Ricky winning 4-2.

The final match in the league is on Tuesday 8th away to Shendish Manor. An unlikely 6-0 win for Ricky will see us retain the cup by virtue of winning more individual matches. A win by any lesser margin will see the trophy go to Bushey. A tie would leave Bushey and Shendish unable to be separated by either individual matches won overall or results between the two clubs. A win by Shendish will ensure the cup is theirs by a one point margin. 2015 Senior’s fixture list
